Female Cyber Warrior Recovers ₹5 Lakh in Fraud Case

swift response by the cyber team of Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar Police Station in
Hyderabad resolved a ₹5 lakh
fraud case, showcasing the efficacy of cyber policing.
A
45-year-old businessman fell victim to fraud after responding to a Facebook
advertisement for solar panels. He transferred ₹5
lakh as part of the deal, only for the fraudsters to sever contact after
receiving the payment. Realizing the scam, the victim promptly approached the
Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar Police Station for help.
Head
Constable Dina, a member of the cyber team, acted immediately by registering
the complaint and coordinating with officials from Canara Bank and SBI. Her
timely intervention resulted in the successful blocking and recovery of ₹4,65,858 from the fraudulent
accounts.
Hyderabad
Police Commissioner C.V. Anand praised Dina's quick and effective action,
calling it a model for handling fraud cases. He emphasized that filing
complaints promptly can significantly increase the chances of recovering lost
funds.
The
police urged citizens to remain vigilant against unverified advertisements,
phone calls, or social media posts, which are often scams. They advised
consulting SEBI-approved financial advisors before making any investments.
